In a few days the Hornsmühlen Eventing is going to start. On Pentecost, 19th and 20th May, riders and visitors can look forward to a CIC* One-Day-Event – the Gutshof-Ei Cup 2018.
Over 300 riders from nine different nations have released their entry form for Hornsmühlen Eventing, amongst them a lot of famous riders like Louise Svensson Jähde, Malin Petersen, Marianne Nielsen, Daya Hujan, Imre Toth and the German top athletes Dirk Schrade, Andreas Dibowski, Julia Mestern, Kai Rüder, Nicolai Aldinger, Marina Köhncke, Claas Hermann Romeike and Peter Thomsen. Hornsmühlen Eventing is sponsored by the company „Gutshof Ei“, the riding club Malente-Eutin and the horse sport association Schleswig-Holstein.
Over 130 riders will take part in the CIC* – so many as never before. The cross country test is going to start on Sunday, 20th May 2018, at 2 pm. Course designer Fried Schwien has created a 3000 meter long Cross Country course in cooperation with Martin Zastrow and the organisers Axel Behmann and Gerd Hamann. The course heads through the scenic landscape and includes 23 obstacles including a water combination with a jump straight in a lake, a coffin, a sunken road and tricky small elements. The course designers setup the course with the new Swedish MIM- Safety-System. Nicolai Aldinger say: „Hornsmühlen has the air of a great, international event. The cross country course gives us the opportunity to canter with the young horses a lot and to practise many different obstacles. They learn such a lot.“
