The Hornsmühlen Eventing is an outstanding occasion in North Germany in the competition calendar. Riders who have participated in the event, described it as exceptional, heartfelt days. The visitors say, they like the familiar and very special atmosphere.
The weekend on 18th and 19th May is reserved for the Hornsmühlen Eventing. The highlight is the international One Day-Event – the Gutshof-Ei Cup 2019 on Sunday. The organisers Axel Behmann and Gerd Hamann are looking forward to welcoming a large number of participants from Germany and abroad. Course Designer Fried Schwien, Axel Behmann and Martin Zastrow have created a course with a wealth of ideas, which are applied through the scenic landscape and with different challenges for horse and rider. The 3000 meter long course will be ridden in changed routeing; the efforts have received new faces, as the unique water combination with a jump straight in a lake. The course in Hornsmühlen offers extensive galloping distances and challenging exercises with natural finish efforts. The German top athletes and olympic riders Sandra Auffarth, Peter Thomsen, Andreas Dibowski and Kai Rüder as well as Julia Mestern, Beeke Jankowski, Marina Köhncke, Nicolai Aldinger, Malin Petersen and Louise Romeike – all they praised these exercises. The program on 18th May covers two tests for young horses, including a qualification for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, and for the first time a test for the very young riders. The event is sponsored by the company „Gutshof Ei“ and supported by the riding club Malente- Eutin and the equestrian association Schleswig-Holstein.
